What is the Portal?
In the portal you’ll find a delivery system that brings all the content of the games you love to play to your favorite mobile or computing device. Here you’ll find the fighter and all his abilities, the cleric and all her abilities, the ½ orc and the dwarf and their abilities, spells, monsters, and more. In short you’ll find everything from the games published by Troll Lord Games up on the portal. Eventually we’ll include all material from earlier game systems, the Crusader, the Seeker, etc. In short if we’ve published it, you’ll have access to it.
For only $5.99 a month you’ll be able to access this material on your desk top, lap top, mobile devices such as your phone (any brand), Ipads, tablets, desktops and everything else that can access the internet.
We’ve already begun uploading content, and will continue to do so until it is all up.
What about future products? It goes up as well, some of it in pieces, some of it whole parts. It all depends on how it’s produced.
Of course Troll Lord Games will continue to print and publish books, but now you’ll be able to access all that content on your mobile device, at the table, while you are gaming. No need to bring the books to site, you have them where you sit.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q. How much does the Portal cost?
A. The Portal costs $5.99 a month. The amount will be charged to your card monthly after your free trial expires.
Q. Can I cancel at anytime?
A. Yes. You can cancel your membership at anytime. When you do, the monthly fee will stop.
Q. What content will be on the Portal?
A. We intend to upload everything we have published in the past and are presently publishing as well as things we will publish in the future. This is only restricted by the licensing material. For instance, though we published Gary Gygax for 8 years, we cannot upload anything written by him to the Portal. Also material that is exclusive to one project or the other may not be on the Portal, however, we rarely publish exclusive content.
Q. How often will you update the site?
A. The site will be updated fairly frequently. As we convert older content it will go up immediately. As we release newer content it will go up after it is converted to the proper format. Some material may be exclusive as noted above and some may be delayed until it is released to pre-orders and Kickstarter backers.
Q. I noticed an error, how do I let you know?
A. Contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll have it fixed as soon as we can.
Q. Can I keep track of my CRS?
A. Though it is not active yet, we hope to set it up so that writable character reference sheets are on the site and can be saved there.
